One of the best things about the nights drawing in, apart from the cosy feeling of closing the curtains and lighting your log burner, is Halloween coming straight after the clocks go back.
There’s always something going on in Cheltenham and Halloween is no exception, so we’ve got three activities you can get your fangs into during the spooky season.
The pumpkin patch at Cotswold Farm Park
Head to Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park in Guiting Power to explore the pumpkin trail there. Once you and the littlies have finished all the activities you can pick your favourite pumpkin and take it home for carving and maybe even a pie.
The patch is open at weekends from now until October 31, so call 01451850307 to book your places.
A Sudeley Castle Evening Ghost Tour
Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe has a lot of history, so there’s bound to be at least one ghost hanging around. Join one of the ghost tours for a spine-tingling lantern-lit stroll around the grounds – you might be accompanied by the Lady in Green or one of the other spirits believed to still be around.
The tours run on October 29, 30 and 31 and start at 6.30pm. Tickets are £40 per person and end with a mulled cider in the Coach House to warm you up and calm your nerves.
Call 01242604244 to book tickets.
Decoupage at Dunkertons
Dunkertons Cidery is holding a unique evening of crafty fun for adults on Tuesday October 29 with its decoupage decorating class.
All the materials you need to decorate a skull (thankfully not real…) will be on hand so you can let your creativity loose.
Tickets for the event and materials are £25 each and you’ll need to book through Paint Pot Parties; the class starts at 7.00pm and lasts for two hours.
Dunkertons Cidery is at Dowdeswell Park, London Road, Charlton kings and you can find out more by calling 01242650145.
