An innovative new dining experience is set to land in Bishop’s Cleeve in January next year. JM Socials, the group which brought Bhoomi Kitchen, Prithvi, BAO + BBQ and The Mayflower to Cheltenham is opening Jai Ho in the town’s popular suburb.
Jai Ho promises the perfect mix of Indian and BBQ
Jai Ho, which means “Let there be victory!” in Hindi, is set to open its doors along Sapphire Road next month, where it’ll offer Indian-influenced BBQ plates and other specials. Ideal for casual drop-in dining and for special occasions, Jai Ho will let diners enjoy fusion food in a modern setting.
“High-quality food in a welcoming atmosphere”
Jay Rahman, who co-owns JM Socials alongside Michael Raphael, says he’s very excited to bring Jai Ho to Bishop’s Cleeve. He said that the group’s goal is to build on the success of Prithvi and its other Cheltenham restaurants by giving diners a local, relaxed experience with high-quality food and a welcoming atmosphere.
The concept of Jai Ho will, added Rahman, be different from their existing restaurants and their offerings, but will have the same creativity and care as all the others. Jai Ho will, he hopes, become part of the community’s go-to venue for great food and friendly service.
Jai Ho is a big step
Opening Jai Ho is a significant move for JM Socials as it represents an expansion across the area. Bishop’s Cleeve takes the group into North Gloucestershire and offering something unique will help to put it on the map.
Two new Cheltenham venues in 2024
JM Socials already opened two Cheltenham venues in 2024 – Circo Brasserie at Bath Road and For The Saints, an espresso bar at 22 Montpellier Walk.
Earlier in the year, in February 2024, JM Socials opened a second restaurant in Oxford – Dosa Darlings on the city’s famous Cowley Road. Dosa Darlings, which followed on from Oxford’s Bhoomi Kitchen, offers Keralan-themed dishes and lots of tasty cocktails.
